Academic Leadership
Dr Siby Abraham has served as the Head of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Guru Nanak Khalsa College (Autonomous), Mumbai for sixteen long years.
During his tenure, he successfully led two BSc programs and a number of certificates courses, overseeing the academic journey of over 800 students and managing a faculty team of around ten members. As the criteria coordinator of the internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on Teacher Learning & Evaluation and Research, Consultancy & Extension, he spearheaded the academic and research activities of the College. Also led the teaching learning activities of the College as coordinator of teaching, learning, and evaluation of IQAC cell of the College.
He worked as a core member for preparing reports/proposals for various awards/recognition like:
- NAAC report for the third cycle resulted in the College bestowing a grade of A+ with a CGPA of 3.54/4
- Autonomous College Status
- College for Potential for Excellence (CPE), UGC
- Best College award of University of Mumbai
- FIST of Dept of Science and Technology, Government of India
- Academic audit of the College by the University of Mumbai
Dr. Siby Abraham has managed different activities of the College like Performance Appraisal, Timetable, Scholarships, Student welfare and Research. He designed, implemented and oversaw a custom-made computer-based performance appraisal project for all stakeholders such as teachers, HoDs and Principals.

Best Paper Award, for the paper “Evolution Induced Secondary Immunity: An Artificial Immune System–based Intrusion Detection System” at the 7th International Conference on Computer Information Systems and Industrial Management Applications (CISIM), Ostrava, Czech Republic, June 26–28, 2008.
