Awarded PhDs:

  • "Prediction, Classification and Network Reconstruction of Proteins using Machine Intelligence."
    Awarded: June 2016. The thesis offers a machine intelligence-based framework which mimics nature’s role in biological processes in any organism.
  • '‘Composition of Rhythmic Music: A Machine Intelligence Approach."
    Awarded: May 2019. The work focuses on creating computational creativity by producing new, high-quality, and more creative versions of original rhythmic music by taking Tabla strokes as a case study.
  • ‘‘Classification, Prediction and Early Diagnosis of Neurodegenerative Disorders Using Deep Learning."
    Awarded: Aug 2025. The thesis focuses on computational solutions using autoencoders, vision transformers and explainable AI techniques.

Ongoing Supervision:

‘A Deep Learning Approach to Radiographic Analysis of Dental Implantology.‘  In progress- developing AI powered diagnostics for oral healthcare imaging.

PG Project Mentoring:

  • Supervised over 500 Post graduate projects involving AI
  • Guided several MPhil desertions in Computer Science and Information Technology and MSc projects involving application of AI for the programs like MSc in Computer Science, IT, and Bioinformatics

Consultancy Works

Between 2018 and 2020, Dr Abraham served as an adviser and consultant to a prominent AI firm CereLabs in Mumbai. His role involved offering expertise formulating project scope, architecture, data exploration, model selection, and development. Some of the important projects undertaken are given below:
  • CTR Prediction: Developed models to optimize Click-Through Rate and Conversion Rate for global ad networks using supervised learning techniques.
  • Cognitive Process Automation (CPA): Designed intelligent automation pipelines for unstructured data, using image-text detection (EAST), YOLO-based recognition, and CTC-based learning.
  • Facial Recognition from CCTV Footage: Created a real-time attendance system using deep learning and genetic algorithms to generate optimized face vectors.
  • Multi-Object Detection: Implemented object detection systems using Faster R-CNN for accurate bounding box creation and classification.
  • Optimized Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs): Designed GAN frameworks for dataset augmentation to support rapid AI product development.
  • Speech Noise Detection: Enhanced speech-to-text conversion using CNNs and LSTMs for real-time audio noise filtering.
  • Sales Forecasting: Applied ARIMA and SARIMA models to predict client sales using time-series data.
  • Speaker Identification: Developed systems for multi-speaker recognition in recorded conversations using deep learning frameworks.
